The Creole State Virtual Exhibit
The Creole State Exhibit is a virtual version of an exhibit that was located in the Louisiana State Capitol from June 1985 until June 2002. The artifacts are now on loan to the Louisiana State Museum for exhibits planned for the new State Museum in Baton Rouge.

Cane River National Heritage Area
Cane River National Heritage Area in northwestern Louisiana is a largely rural, agricultural landscape known for its historic plantations, its distinctive Creole architecture, and its multi-cultural legacy. Historically this region lay at the intersection of French and Spanish realms in the New World. Today it is home to a unique blend of cultures, including French, Spanish, African, American Indian, and Creole.

Louisiana Regional Folklife Program - Northwestern State University
The Louisiana Regional Folklife Program is a cooperative endeavor between Louisiana universities and the Louisiana Folklife Program within the Division of the Arts. The primary goal of the regional program is to provide in-depth documentation of Louisiana’s folk traditions and to facilitate their appropriate use by the public and cultural tourism. The staff associated with this program has assisted the Creole Center on many of its research projects.

CHERS was formed in 2002 by a group of online researchers to create an interest in the genealogies and family ties of the Creole people with a special emphasis on the rich history of the Gens De Couleur of Louisiana.
